Everyone has their holiday go to dip, this one is ours - always devoured, easy to put together and it travels well. Combing our favorite ingredients of smoked salmon, avocado and cream cheese, you can't go wrong. Serve with crackers or on celery.
Smoked Salmon Dip
Inspired by the Seasons, original recipe from my sister-in-law Carol
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 c heavy cream (I have substituted sour cream)
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 dash red pepper sauce
- 4 oz smoked salmon
- 1 ripe avocado, diced
In a food processor combine cream cheese, cream, lemon juice and green onions. Process until smooth. Add 1/2 of salmon and 1/2 of diced avocado and blend until smooth. Stir in remaining salmon and avocado. Cover and refrigerate if not serving immediately.
